Standard Competition Terms:

These terms and conditions apply to all competitions listed on the Promoter’s website at https://rafflerace.co.uk/ .

 

1. The promoter

2. The Competition

2.1     The competition is operated by RaffleRace.

2.2     All competitions are skill-based. Providing a correct answer to the question on the website proves the skill aspect and required knowledge to enter the competition.

2.3     The respective online entry fees will be paid with each order placed. To be in a chance of winning, everyone entering the competition (entrant) will be required to correctly answer a multiple-choice question set by the Promoter.

2.4     The competition will run from the opening to the closing dates specified on the website.

2.5     The competition is open for entry to all those aged 18 and over from the United Kingdom.

2.6     By entering the competition, all entrants acknowledge that by paying for the entry as well as answering the question, they are not guaranteed in any way to win the competition’s prize.

2.7     Incorrectly answering the question or failing to provide any answer will result in the entrant being charged. Only entries that are complete and contain the correct answer according to the promoter will be successfully entered into the competition.

2.8     Entrants must ensure that participating in the competition does not violate any laws in their country of residence. The Promoter will not be responsible or liable for any consequences arising from unlawful entries.

2.9     The Promoter reserves the right to change the opening and closing dates of a competition. Updated details of the competition will be displayed as soon as possible.

 

3. How to Enter

3.1     Entering the competition online can be done by: 1) Selecting the desired competition. 2) Selecting the correct answer to the question. 3) Selecting the desired amount of entries. 4) Completing the checkout process and submitting the payment in order to get an order confirmation.

3.2      By submitting an answer to the question, the entrant acknowledges that both skill and knowledge are required to provide the correct response.

3.3      All competition entries must be received by the Promoter no later than the specified time on the closing date. Entries received after this time may be disqualified without a refund.

3.4     The maximum number of entries allowed in the competition will be specified on the Website. Your ability to enter may be restricted if the maximum number of entries is reached.

3.5     All competition entries are final, and no refunds will be issued at any time or for any reason, except for times when the competition is cancelled.

3.6     The Promoter will not be responsible for competition entries that are incomplete, lost, or delayed for any reason. This includes issues caused by equipment failure, technical malfunctions, or failures in systems, satellites, networks, servers, computer hardware, or software.

3.7     Free entries into competitions are available through sending your entry in a sealed postcard / letter by first or second class through post to: to 39 Anderson Crescent, B43 7SU. Hand delivered postal entries are not valid postal entries.

Additionally, the letter will need to include your full name, date of birth, full address, contact details and agreement to our Terms and Conditions. The letter must specify the competition you are entering as well as the correct answer to the competition question. Incomplete or incorrect entries will be disqualified. Each household is limited to one free postal entry per competition. All entrants must have an active account on the website in order for their entry to be processed.

The availability of a free entry route to enter each competition means that the competition does not fall within the definition of gambling under the Gambling Act 2005 and can be operated legally in Great Britain without any need for a licence. All free entries must be received before the close of the competition, any entries that fail to follow the criteria mentioned above will be void as per any entry received.

3.8   Bulk entries in one envelope will not be accepted as multiple entries and if a bulk entry is received, it will be counted as one single entry.

3.9 Entrants participating in Free Competitions who are found to have duplicate accounts/multiple entries will be disqualified.

4. Choosing a Winner

4.1     All entrants who correctly answer the competition question and enter the competition will be entered into a draw, and the winner will be selected at random following the end of the competition.

4.2     Your first name as well as your last name’s initial will be published on the website unless you contact us at support@rafflerace.co.uk to say otherwise. This is for transparency reasons.

4.3     A draw will be postponed by a day each time the competition has not reached 60% of its maximum sales. Once the minimum sales threshold has been reached, the random, live draw will happen as soon as possible.

4.4     The Promoter reserves the right to cancel the competition at any time, whether before or after tickets have been sold. If the competition is cancelled, the Promoter will refund any entry fees paid by each entrant, either by bank card refund, cheque, or store credit (with one combined payment for multiple entries from the same entrant). Once the entry fee is refunded, the Promoter will have no further liability to the entrant or any other person.

4.5     By entering the competition, you confirm that you are eligible to do so and understand that you may be asked for proof of age (ID) in order to prove that you are able to claim the prize. Failure to provide such proof or other information requested may result In disqualification from the competition. In this scenario, the draw will be repeated and another winner will be chosen.

4.6     The Promoter reserves the right to disqualify any entrant with no refund for not meeting the entry criteria for the competitions. This includes any suspicion of any form of fraud, abuse of the website or tampering with information. This may also result in permanent bans from entering future competitions.

4.7     The Promoter will not accept any competition entries that are either incomplete or automatically generated by a computer / bot.

4.8     No refunds of the entry fee will be issued under any circumstances outside of those stated in this document, including if you discover after entering the competition that you are not eligible to participate or claim the prize.

4.9     The Promoter is required to publish or provide information demonstrating that a valid award took place. To meet this obligation, the Promoter will publish the full name and county/town of residence of major prize winners on the website. Additionally, your full name may be called out on live stream. 5. The Prize

5.1     The Prize must not be claimed by anybody besides the competition’s legal entrant. Attempting to redeem the prize on behalf of someone else will be rejected, this includes any third parties.

5.2     The entrant is responsible for keeping their details up to date on our website. Failure to reach a competition’s winner in 5 working days will result in the draw being repeated and another winner    being chosen.

5.3     Cash prizes will be transferred to the winner’s nominated bank account. The winner must provide proof that they are the sole or joint beneficiary of the bank account. Failure to do so within 10 working days will result in disqualification and therefore, the draw will be repeated and another winner will be chosen.

 

6. Limitation of liability

6.1     The Promoter, its agents, or distributors will not be liable for any loss, damage, personal injury, or death resulting from taking up the prize, except in cases of negligence by the Promoter, its agents, distributors, or their employees. This limitation of liability is permitted by law. Your statutory rights are not affected.

 

7. Publicity and Data protection

7.1     By entering the competition, you consent to the use of your personal information by the Promoter, its agents, and suppliers solely for the administration of the competition or as outlined in the Promoter’s Privacy Policy, which is available on the website.

7.2     Winning the competition means you consent to the Promoter using your name, image, and town or county of residence for the announcement of the winner. Additionally, you agree to take part in any reasonable publicity activities requested by the Promoter.

7.3     If you do not wish to participate in any publicity, you must notify the Promoter prior to the competition’s closing date. If you choose not to participate in any publicity regarding the competition, we may still need to provide your details to the Advertising Standards Authority. This legal requirement ensures that we can demonstrate the competition was properly conducted and the prize was awarded.

7.4     Please be aware that under data protection laws, you have the right to request that the Promoter stops contacting you and removes your details from its database. If you make such a request, you will be withdrawing from the competition, as we will be unable to contact you if you win. No entry fee refund will be provided if you withdraw from the competition. If you do not want your personal details to be used by the Promoter for promotional purposes, please email the Promoter at support@rafflerace.co.uk before the Closing Date.

 

8. General

8.1     The Promoter reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions. The latest version of these terms and conditions will be available on the website.

8.2     If the Promoter suspects a breach of these terms and conditions, it reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to disqualify you from participating in the respective competition and any future competitions.

8.3     These terms and conditions shall be governed by English law, and the parties submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

 

9. Copyright

9.1     We own or hold the license to all intellectual property rights on our site and the material published on it. These works are protected by copyright laws and treaties globally. All such rights are reserved.

9.2     If you print, copy, or download any part of our site in violation of these terms of use, your right to use our site will be terminated immediately. You must then, at our discretion, return or destroy any copies of the materials you have made. Failure to do so will result in legal action being taken against those who breach these Terms and Conditions.
